If Paris is the world capital of fashion then Avenue Montaigne, which is lined with luxury boutiques that read like a Who’s Who of world-famous fashion imperiums, is the fashion capital of Paris. The Plaza Athenee Paris Hotel is situated right smack in the middle of this eponymous avenue, with its signature red Geronium flower boxes. Luxury Travel Beat decided to make like Sarah Jessica Parker, Bono and the entire cast of Rush Hour 3 and check into the hotel.

I was only 19 when I visited Paris for the first time. I would like to say I fell hopelessly and desperately in love with the City of Light, but I would be lying.
